Product Design

workshops

Whilst studying for my final year at university, myself and 3 fellow students took part in a project called the ‘AimHigher’ initiative. to which the university and the surrounding educational authorities provide insights and opportunities for school children to taste different career and educational paths.

We were tasked with running a 2hr Product Design Innovation workshop to give the students (11-16yrs) a taste of what product design is all about.

2 of these workshops were held at our studios at MDX Uni with Winchmore Hill school, the other was on site at Freirn Barent School, North London.

- Initiating creativity through involvement processes and engagement techniques

- Defining the product realm; Aesthetics, functionality, product flow.

- Basic prototyping, testing and role-play.

- Verbal and visual presentation as stimuli for the remainder of the group.
